AMIA 1998
The one-and-a-half-day-mini-conference sponsored by the Family Practice/Primary Care WG at AMIA ‘98 included presentations, demonstrations, and panels by primary care professionals on the following topics:
The mini-conference was intended for all health care and medical informatics professional interested in issues of medical informatics application, teaching, and research in the context of primary care medicine in the US and around the world. The sessions will be stimulating and thought-provoking, with an emphasis on practical applications and solutions. The international session included speakers from the UK, Australia, the Netherlands, and the Third World who addressed the unique perspectives on primary care informatics issues from their parts of the world, as well as potential solutions that are common and applicable worldwide.
